Astute Leader, Cosgrove CEO Umar Abdullahi makes Forbes Africa’s list

Cosgrove CEO Umar Abdullahi has been listed in the Forbes Africa Undiscovered Series for Nigeria.

Uri Onojake of GLG Communications, a consultancy firm, made the disclosure in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

He said the undiscovered series was part of an exclusive list of Nigerians who have been crucial in rebuilding and contributing to the Nigerian growth story at this time.

The Cosgrove Founder/CEO, Umar has come a long way with over 19 years varied experience in Real Estate Development, Investment, and Financial Services. Notably, Umar served as the pioneer Managing Director of Brains & Hammers Ltd. for 8 years.

He directed the foundations for the company’s success; and spearheaded the conceptualization, development, construction, and management of a myriad of housing estates and gated communities. He is specially adept at managing complex projects and diverse teams. Most recently, under his leadership, Kano Economic City (a N167 billion Joint Venture project between Brains & Hammers and the Kano State Government) was consummated.

Umar also has an extensive experience from his corporate banking background as well as expertise in negotiations with a commitment to compliance with corporate governance and fiscal discipline. An astute leader whose vision is achieving Cosgrove strategic business goals.

Cosgrove is currently bridging the gap in the pan-African housing deficit, unlocking value for all its stakeholders. The company is fast becoming a dominant player in the Nigerian and West African real estate market.
